    Birth of BRRRRRRT

Attack jet jockey's love to get down low and fast and follow rivers, roads, run canyons, etc. The various war games, such as Red Flag in NV, caters to that craziness. Nothing like mach .95+ terrain following for a rush. Good training for when you might have to do it for real. :sneaky:

    Birth of BRRRRRRT

A little nostalgia for USAF guys. The A-10 Warthog history and that 30mm gun. :D https://www.rugerforum.com/forums/the-lounge.1/

Science Fiction movies and TV shows

When I was young, back before TV was common, an apple was a fruit you picked from a tree and ate on the spot, or made pies and other desserts with. I read the Foundation Trilogy in the mid-50's shortly after they were published, along with most everything else he wrote during those early years. :)

    Winchester Ammo

You might keep an eye out for Browning FMJ on sale. I've used it in the past in 9mm and .45acp for backyard plinking. I picked up a 150rds of .45 a couple weeks ago for $70 at my LGS. 9mm is of course cheaper. S&B, Fiocchi, Blazer and other 9mm range ammo generally runs about $16/50rnds here.

    Winchester Ammo

Nothing wrong with Winchester for ordinary range use, but I would hope that you periodically run some quality self defense ammo also. Something like Hornady Critical Defense or Federal Punch, especially if you carry.

Science Fiction movies and TV shows

There's far too much money & power to be had for the taking. The tech kings and politicians are not going to surrender that to the little people - not even if it ultimately results in the collapse of modern civilization.

Azimov was also one of the best. His Foundation series of novels would make a good mini-series.

Scope level doesn’t fit in chamber for installation.

Too many other variables to get worked up over scope mounting for hunting. Sometimes they'll cancel each other out, sometimes they'll be additive. Ammo, barrel whip, external ballistics, the shooter, etc., etc. You can drive yourself crazy while spending a lot of money trying to get to...

Ruger PC Carbine and Gideon Tactical: Recommended?

As with most pistol caliber carbines, you should use +P ammo to take advantage of the longer barrel. The difference between standard and +P in a long barrel is significant. Usually around a 20-30% increase in MV using +P, which translates to flatter trajectory, longer range, and increased...

New shoulder rig for my 1911- Update

Something that you and others may not know. Diamond D Custom Leather also has a presence on Amazon as Diamond D Outdoors. If you want a custom fitted holster you won't find it on their Amazon site. About the only thing they sell on the Amazon site is a "ballistic nylon universal fit" chest...

    Another barbed wire fence story

Barbed wire? Try doing a low crawl, whilst dragging your M1, under 50 yds of tanglefoot topped with concertina, while 1/4lb tnt charges are going off around you and a guy with a 1917 water cooled Browning is shooting hundreds of rounds of live ammo 6ft over your head. Welcome to Camp...

    357 Mag better than 10mm

There are various statistical methods that could be used to establish some reasonable comparative results, but I've yet to see anyone on YouTube set up a properly designed experiment. I consider all of these 'comparisons' on youtube to be nothing more than entertainment. Sometimes fun to...

    357 Mag better than 10mm

No bears here. Just hogs, a couple venomous snake species, and 'gators. Sneaky snakes & hogs can be a problem, 'gators not so much. Folks 'round here carry whatever suits 'em, :)

    Ruger is evil

MS has a good size herd also (around 700k), but I haven't seen any on my property - yet. Although they are in the neighborhood. If you're looking for deep penetration on your hogs, I'd suggest the 255grn hardcast from Underwood or Buffalo Bore instead of a jhp. :)
