Anyone else get calls every day from "Medicare survey" or some such??
Getting annoyed with this!
I told them today, "If you are working with Medicare, then you should know all you need to know about me.
A few times in the past, I got calls promising ALL these "additional benefits", only to find out that they were only available IF you had both Medicare and Medicaid.
FYI***
IF ANYONE ever asks for your Medicare ID#, do NOT give it to the.
They only need this number and a few things about you to get someone else using your card.
Rant over.

I was greeted with the usual East Indian "How warrah you?" and I told them I was on the "do not call" list. Then he stated that he was with Medicare and they were sending me a new card. I said "OK then send it, bye". He kept going on and on and finally I said "Why don't you get a real job you low down bucket of pus" and I hung up.

I get those calls all the time. When I am in the mood I will play them as long as I can. They cant scam some old lady if they are talking to me.

If my wife lets me answer the phone, and I get a real person I will try to keep them on the line as long as I can, when I am tired of them I tell them to fink off!

Usually if it's a real person I mess with them by speaking in broken English. That's always fun to do especially if it's the same as their's. One guy finally got mad and in very clear English told me that it wasn't funny. I told him it was hilarious an to get a real job and quit scamming the elderly.

I tried an air horn once but it scared the hell out of our cat. So that's in the closet for now.

For me it's United Health. They want to visit, they want to ask me questions, and on, and on- almost every day. They are my insurance company, but I have told them to knock it off. I am healthy, and could out work, out fight, and out play whoever is calling. I told them I will let them know if there is a problem so just STOP IT! Called the next day.....

I get similar calls from Blue Cross. I tell them I have no idea if the are really BC and will not answer unsolicited calls.

Don't answer your phone. I don't unless it's a number I know.
This is the best tack we can take. If a caller is not in my contacts list, I do not answer. If it's a legit caller they will leave a message, if it's a scam caller they will not.

I answer "SPAM CALLS" with, Parle Vous Francia !!
OR
"Sprekenze Duestch"
pardon the spelling its been too long since I studied those languages.

Usually I get "CLICK !!!!!!
I knew a Christian Youth Minister who kept a Bible near the phone. (This was in the day of real landlines.) When any of his family SPAM. SCAM, harassing calls, they would start reading the 3rd chapter of the book of Romans (New Testament). He said no caller made it to the end of the chapter and he learned the chapter by heart.
My father would egg them on -- "Yes, yes! That sounds great! That's just what I need!" The caller would be excited. When asked how he wanted to pay for "it", he would ask, "Can I pay with Food Stamps?" The calls stopped after than. It was hilarious to heard him do that.
Evangelical Christians can receive the same results by "witnessing" (sharing the Gospel) with callers.
It can be quite entertaining.
