If you read the article they actually did get around to reimbursing him....

just really two problems caused it... someone checked the wrong thing off when he turned the car in and then when he tried to get it fixed on line he got what looks to me like an automated response that might not have even been sent by a real person. when he did actually talk to someone... they fixed it.

Renting an electric car sounds a lot like paying someone to beat you up.
For many it was just something different to try. Fly in for a day or so of meetings and just need something local it might
as a novelty be more interesting then another Kia.
A Tesla 3 is not a bad car to drive, sorta like a glorified generic golf cart crossed with all the excitement of a refrigerator on
wheels. Enough almost instant torque if driven a bit aggressively to hit the "holes" in city traffic, and if you crank up the "regen"
on the braking they drive pretty well with out touching the brake in heavy stop and go stuff.
