    Ruger rifles I want.

Ruger American in 22 Hornet, 357, and 44 magnum. Ruger already has the magazines for the 77/xx. American for half the cost of the 77/xx. Bruce

    FAV Fighter of WW2

Two P-80's in Italy in January, 1945. Didn't find any enemy planes. If they had been there even several months earlier... https://www.defensemedianetwork.com/stories/project-extraversion-p-80-shooting-stars-in-world-war-ii/ Bruce

    Ruger No. 1 takedown

Have to solve the problem of the scope mount interfering with the forearm hanger bar. And the forearm/receiver joint not being flat. Maybe just a 1/4 turn takedown. Remove the receiver lip and make a new forearm. Bruce

    458 x 2 American.....American?

You can shorten a #1/#3 barrel for the Ruger 77 or Win 70 push feed. Threads are the same. The SS barrel shank is longer. Normal headspace cautions and checks needed. A 458Win #1 barrel is a VERY heavy barrel. No chance of using it for a light rifle build. You could start with a #1 or #3...

Why is it so hard to buy some items from the U.S?

US has made it hard to export parts. See this page and links: https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/388/~/permanently-exporting-a-firearm,-gun,-handgun,-rifle,-shotgun,-pistol,-etc. "The permanent export of a handgun, rifle, parts, or ammunition requires the exporter to register with...

a few Ruger M77 MkI questions

The Ruger 77 tang safety has almost no room between the mag box and trigger "housing." The 77MKII has some room for expansion there. 77 tang safety in the second photo here shows the magazine opening and trigger housing: http://www.rugerforum.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=1521292#p1521292 77MKII...

Ruger #3 Factory Mismarked Caliber Mistake?

The #3 was made in 223, but is much more likely to be a rechamber job. It "can" be done without removing the barrel, but lots more chance of not being straight. Bruce

    winter style trigger guard?

I like liners inside heavier gloves. Slip the outer glove off for a minute to shoot. I've seen heavy gloves with a slit for the trigger finger to curve out, but never tried one. Bruce

Ruger No 1 designed for 5.56?

Cases: Some military is lighter than some commercial. Don't automatically assume military is heavier. Weigh your cases. Read the article at: http://www.6mmbr.com/223Rem.html ===================================== Pressure: Looks like they have the same AVERAGE pressure: Lowest pressure for...

Light strike on primer when fireing Ruger #1

That was once mentioned in a magazine article. A good cleaning fixed it. There were bits of leaves, lint, etc. in the action. Bruce

    Redhawk barrel replacement

Ruger generally will not replace parts that make the firearm different than it first left the factory. Their parts are to replace your 7.5in barrel with another 7.5in barrel, or a 4in barrel with a 4in barrel. Bruce
