    Deadly lightning strike

I was sitting with some buddies last year down in Florida taking a break from shooting and sitting under a tent as a thunder storm approached and I told them about the 3 times I'd been the conduit for the static discharge as a lightning storm approached .... and you know what they did...

    Pot Liquor

You know the easiest way to make moonshine is to not use a mash but just distill a case or two of beer.... And if you really want to get fancy use Heineken.... then what you end up with is "Heinie Liquor".

Science Fiction movies and TV shows

I have the theory that when 'they' show up it will be much like when the Spanish came to Central and South America..... will not be good for us... but then maybe just maybe 'they' will be a little more 'humane' than we are. But of course a lot of folks think 'they' have already been here and...

    Brain worms anyone?

In my business, chimney sweeping, on some occasions we run across a momma raccoon who's having babies up inside a chimney, in a fireplace behind the damper. It seems they carry the same thing in their droppings... some kind of parasite that will eat your brain.

    Who remembers Bridey Murphy?

Most eastern religions delve on reincarnation and back in the early 20th century much of that and spiritualism migrated to the U.S. There are plenty of people who believe in it. Part of me believes in another life I was accidentally killed by my friend who was the sheriff in the town..... I...

    Watching McLintock Today...

Now that I think about it, wasn't there an automobile in that movie? Maureen O Hara is my second favorite actress to watch right after Katherine Hepburn.

    Women’s college fast pitch softball

Many years ago my wife and I took in a young girl who had a college scholarship for this fast pitch softball] as a pitcher... that summer I got to catch for her. I was a catcher in high school but to be honest I never remember hearing the hard base ball coming at me. You can hear that soft...

    Pot Liquor

I always thought it funny watching the black comedies on TV back in the '70's and when they would start listing the 'soul food' they were going to eat. it's what I grew up with.... There really ain't nothing like some good pot liquor to sop up the last of the corn bread. But of course those...

    Ruger Warranty Issues

The problem I'd have with a gun like that is I could not sell or trade it with out disclosing the problems I've had with it. I've got several guns that I'm not comfortable with that I really don't know what to do with ... maybe one of those misnamed "gun buy backs" will come to town one day.

    Ruger Warranty Issues

It's the ejector... holds one side of the rim on the cartridge and the slide pulls it back then allows it to be flipped back and out. From the way you wrote it, I presume the pistol ejects fine when you are firing it? You might try polishing the loading ramp and chamber.... Not being able...

A couple ob bloopers, TV & movie

The first time I saw something similar to this was back in the late 60's early 70's with the show 'The FBI" starring Efrem Zimbalist Jr... he and others had been trying to track down some wanted felon all over the country and finally found him in a cabin on a beach near Charleston S.C...

    Choose your poison

I'd have to choose 9mm because it is the most popular and thus most likely to be able to get ammo for. My preference if I felt I was going to need one for protection would be 357 Sig (which by the way the OP did not even list as a choice) followed by 45acp.

How else are you going to clear the chamber if you want to leave the gun unloaded? I guess just fire it until it is empty... where ever you are? Long time ago my friends and I took a guy named Zukowskie rabbit hunting... we showed him how to load and shoot the shot gun we loaned him but not...

    Milwaukee? Beach vacation?

Being from the South having inherited the prejudices about the North... I'm having a problem wrapping my head around: Milwaukee? Beach vacation?
