I feel sorry for her. Inebriated or not - she's been in a serious collision (enough to have all airbags deployed), and not a single first responder is recognizing her diminished mental condition. I couldn't get past the 3 minute mark. So sad....

A single solar panel hooked to a 12vt charge controller with 3 leads - 1 for each battery. Run a battery cutoff switch between the two in series until you need to run the trolling motor as Dave and others have suggested. This is how I'd do it but I'm not an electrical engineer. YMMV
