Hell Gunny, I’m only 60 but ~10 of those years I played football, and 14 more are Army years! 😉

My first lever action in 40+ years was my Rossi .454 Casull. It handles .45 Colt just fine AND I fire the same loads in my Blackhawks and Vaqueros. That being said, if you’re not interested in .45/.454 go for the .44!

Contender, LMK when you have photos, but I expect I'll take the frame with the white poly grips. That should look really good on my ~2013 era Flattop convertible 5-1/2" .45! Edit- or, if these are Single-Six sized they’ll look interesting on my 6-1/2” stainless Single-Six.

14 years in the Army and hundreds of hours total in fixed and rotary wing aircraft as either a crew member on “reconnaissance” aircraft of both types or as a “temporary passenger” for jumps, landing insertions or rappelling insertions. Flying NOE in a Blackhawk was a blast, especially at night...

I have my grandfather’s Stevens falling block .22 LONG (NOT LR!). I also have my father’s Winchester Model 12, 1953 vintage, bought when he returned from the Korean War, and his sloppily sporterized 98k that was captured during WWII. It had, at one time, a slip on butt pad with the US Army...

But I actually WANT one in .45ACP …😉
