NEW Winchester Wildcat Review: Featherweight Plinker

I dunno, I kinda like the thing. Memories of the old Remington Nylon 66. Looks to be a fun plinker you wouldn't worry about scratching or dinging up. Will it hold up as well as my 10/22 over the decades? I'm 71 and am confident it would last my lifetime.

    LCP2 in .22LR

+1 on the Hickok45 reviews comments - oddball safety design (push forward or back to use?), safety gets in the way of cycling the slide, magazine a chore to fill.

22 Plinkster: GLOCK 44 22LR - IS IT WORTH THE MONEY?

I already own the notoriously flawless Mark III and the Browning Buckmark - both of which can be fast loaded with my Ultimate ClipLoader device - so I really don't need another great rimfire plinker. I DO see solid value in both the Glock & Taurus offerings as training platforms for their 9mm...

22plinkster = CCI STANGERS! I HAVE MY OWN AMMO!

His one-of-a-kind "Stanger Banger" Henry presentation rifle is also pretty sweet. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy says I.

    Ultimate ClipLoader tip

As I have posted in the FarrowTech thread, it is great that there are so many aftermarket suppliers to the Ruger line. At 70, with much less than 'nimble' hands, I grab every advantage I can - lol I can attest that everyone who has tried the ClipLoader at the range on their magazines wants one.

    Ultimate ClipLoader tip

I know this is old news on a great product. But..... IMHO The McFadden Ultimate ClipLoader is a true MUST HAVE for anyone with a Ruger Mark or Browning Buckmark rimfire pistol. Load those mags in scant seconds. I've been happy with mine for years now for both pistols...

Mark III Hunter with Leupold Scope (Not Fot Sale)

Nice work - Kudos - Happy Shooting.

    which one would you get?

Gotta say I prefer the Mark Classic series pistols to the 22/45 configuration so that gets my vote. the IV series DOES eliminate the one 'hassle' of takedown so that's a super plus. That said the S&W offering is also a 'last a lifetime' firearm. I DID choose to replace the $3 nylon buffer in my...

FarrowTech Ruger Mark 3/4 Charging handle mini review

https://majesticarms.com/product/bolt-racker-for-mark-iv/ Yes, I saw that aluminum 'offset handle' device before choosing the $20 polymer oval one. I wanted to keep the pistol relatively streamlined. It is great that so many aftermarket companies support Ruger firearms of all kinds.

FarrowTech Ruger Mark 3/4 Charging handle mini review

I just now tried the handle while I wore gloves, not the slim mechanics kind the creator wears in the product video, but my normal insulated winter gloves, and charging the pistol was super simple. Much easier for ME to accomplish than with the handle removed. I don't holster carry my Ruger...

FarrowTech Ruger Mark 3/4 Charging handle mini review

"Unfortunately, all the ones I've seen appear to be "range only" use." Not exactly sure what that means? Other than it does make the pistol a bit longer, it installs as a 'semi-permanent' accessory. I won't be removing it for storage or anything. The gun still fits into its usual padded zipper...

FarrowTech Ruger Mark 3/4 Charging handle mini review

I like my Mark III but my aging fingers have always had a slight issue manipulating the charging handle. The $20 polymer 3D printed FarrowTech handle looked like a winner. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7b3uYOwjIUU Purchasing link is in the video description. Price includes shipping. The...

    HP-38 ???

"So ... why don't they just put both names on the bottle HP-38/W-231" For pretty much the same reason you can't buy a Chevy-Buick, a Dodge-Chrysler or a Honda-Acura automobile. Producers have long taken advantage of brand names and the ability to sell the same stuff at inflated prices for those...

    Molon Labe tatoos?

Can't stand tattoos personally, but I once dated a gal who had flames inked on one knee and the devil with a pitchfork on the other knee. When she crossed her legs it looked like hell. lol

Oh, my! A close encounter with a large bear!

I do note that the guy's stainless security shotgun is conveniently laying out of reach on the ground next to the bear...………. DOH! Sometimes ya' gets lucky... sometimes yer what's for lunch.
