if you boogered the insert of any of these "new" Ruger cases, simply get a piece of 2inch or so, egg crate foam and replace that molded inner insert, makes for a much BETTER case..............

correct that to 1993, is when the "New" Bearcats came out,,,,that 650 prefix is I believe for the 32 cal Single Sixes......:unsure:;) the "New" Bearcats are all steel, and some of the first ones back in the 1993 were even convertibles, and now there a few different models barrel lengths sights...

Nice gun, and better to have NO numbers marked on it, than the wrong ones, and only the original packaging ,with the cardboard shipping sleeve would have all the data ( info) so that not being there, you need the factory letter...again, a keeper for sure(y)(y)

both are a premium these days , I believe if real early they came in a 'brown' cardboard box?? and if todays 10/22s are in the $300-400 range I can only imagine what the early , early ones are worth ezpecailly if they are in a "package" ( box,papers ,etc)you need to do your homework look on...

good idea and if you do grind them down a bit too much, if close enough ,just spread a little Loctite or some such gel on the end (flat), let it dry and this will built up and make the spacer longer, then check and refit to length, ,may have to do this a couple of times but it works and it ain't...

we find it much easier to find them together along with the head, like this one back in our woods after it was truck by a car?? or some such and ran off into the woods........and yes in a short period of time the rest of the carcass simply disappeared???, the broken leg was the last thing to...

no, that is not a 'spacer' but the molded material itself,,the opposite panel has been overtightened at one time and the "hardened rubber" itself crumbled, broke loose from around the hole and the escutcheon on the outside ,pushed ( pulled?) inward,, yes can easily be repaired with a bit if J_B...

Do not think that is actually a "'fourth" digit, often see an extra symbol?? letter?? or some weird "scratch" often on the opposite ( few spaces,chambers over) just had one recently it was an "X"??? was told once it was the fitter who did this?? I believe the start of convertibles ( an "X" would...

Nice gun and was one of my favorites ,till I traded out of it and ended up with the same upper but on a 22/45 frame,, which I preferred then,,,my first one, like yours above had the black plastic grips with silver medallions...still a nice gun, we like it....(y)(y)

well said 'OMC' and I agree and the "we" is those of us that still like, prefer, the basic, old stuff, still do and always will,,,, yes been there ,done that started with Colts, then on to S&Ws , hell I even help Rich and Jim write their "Standard Catalog of S&W" apprenticed for a cople of older...
