Saw a NIB .32 Mag SS today

Stopped by my LGS on my lunch break today, and they have a first year (1984) new-in-box Single Six in .32 Mag and they're asking 795. If it were closer to 600 I'd be giving them some money, but what do you guys think?

Nice! It should be marked SSM on the side. $795 is pretty close for a first year entire package. Of course I'd try to get it for less, but...

The basic stainless 22LR Single Six now has MSRP of about $900.00!
I'm guessing a bigger caliber be more money but don't know.
And the gun you're looking at is NIB! It'll be C&R eligible in a short 10 years!
Don't that make us feel old!?

They'll get that asking price. To me it's an obscure caliber but it has a huge cult following!

I 'thought' obscure too ... until .22LR became unobtainium a few years back.... Then I realized the .32 H&R Magnum is really a practical reloadable .22LR. So I now have a few .32s with plenty of cases and bullets (78gr, 100gr, and 115gr) for them. Don't shoot them much, but they'll be there when I need 'em again . In fact a few weeks ago, I reamed out the cylinder throats of my baby Vaquero with my new manson reamer as the throats were way undersized.

I hope you can still get it especially if it's an SSM marked frame.

I have 3 and that wasn't enough so having found a .32 barrel and cylinder, turned an old model super single six into a .32 Mag (the first year barrels have the same thread size as the .22 barrels) and moving the firing down a bit to make into a centerfire was pretty simple. Then reamed the chambers a little bit deeper and also shoot .327 Mag! Now it's my favorite .32. The .32s are simple to reload. They're a not so secret load of fun!

Sorry, guys, I haven't been on the forum for a few weeks and for some odd reason email notifications are not working for me.
Anyway, the serial number is 650-010xx so it's unfortunately not quite early enough to have the SSM stamp. The shop owner did shave $80 off the price, and I decided to go ahead and get it. I had to put it on layaway due to some other (Ruger) irons in the fire right now, but at least it's not going anywhere else. Thanks for all of your input.
BTW, it looks like a 7.5".

Good deal! It should be either a 6 1/2 or 9 1/2 bbl if it looks like a 7 1/2".

I have one that was made in 1985. I love it. I put a nice set of simulated ivory grips on it and I call it my Little Joe Cartwright gun. A Single Six frame is just perfect for the 32 H&R Mag! I am sure you will love yours too. Enjoy it !!! Thanks, Star43

Makes you wonder why they never did the Single Six 32 H&R Mag in stainless. Maybe they thought they wouldn't sell enough? I would have bought one in a heartbeat. But, I do appreciate my blue one for sure.

Back in the mid eighties of course when it first came out. I know they came out with it later, but then the original 1984 , 1985 type model was just blue. That's the one I would want. Just me
