I’ve used ignore when I feel someone is just a troll. It helps when scanning future threads. When I check later it’s usually confirmed. Still trolling or just agitating people. Life is too short.

Hopefully I can find a period correct thinner one first but thanks for the idea. I’ve not been able to reblue well. 😳 In doing more digging, it seems that a type 1 base pin is the same for the SS, early Bearcat and early Blackhawk. Does anyone know if this is true or what else is compatible?

Thanks Robb! I just put it together with the plungered base pin for now. It’s not something I’ll ever shoot or even cycle. Yes, it has the “R”. Does that plunger come out easily?

I've got a tri-color lightweight SS that was converted. In unconverting it, the base pin that came in the old model kit does not fit, the diameter is too large (measures 0.249") for the cylinder. It looks like a type 1 correct base pin, just won't fit. For reference, the conversion kit that...

Thanks guys. I'll put it out there in the classifieds. I measured the two base pins. The conversion kit base pin (with the pin on the end) measures at 0.245" and fits the cylinder. The one that came as the Old Part measures at 0.249" and is too tight. Many thanks! TomD
