I like shooting Keith Style bullets. That shoulder can prevent a cartridge from dropping all the way into the cylinder. My Birdshead grip .45 Colt had this problem. The chamber depth was inconsistent. Made sense to send it to someone who knew what to do.
My S&W Model 22 Classic would not...
$4,250 damage to our 2009 RAV4 Sport. I thought they were going to total it at the time. They just chewed off a few connectors on the wiring. Harnesses had to be replaced. Looked like over 12 feet of wiring and parts of boxes.

I need to get over there sometime. About 25min from me. A number of articles online if you do a search.
For rifle only. Yes, I use the Forster bench primer tool. A bit fiddly. I use a plastic primer tray with a chunk cut out of one side to easily load the primer tubes. The three jaws need to be adjusted just so..... But once it's set it does a good job, quickly.
Except for having to handle...
Very nice.
As budget allows. I have been trying to purchase more firearms that have polished blue. Color case hardening. Nice wood. That's time, training, & experience that we are paying for.
I like the Lee Universal die also. With those aftermarket, hardened pins. I did turn one down with sandpaper to fit small flash holes on .22 Hornet.
Usually I tumble first, then run partially sorted brass through the de-prime step on the Forster CO-AX, so I do not have to change the...
You do not need a scale at all really. Gazillions of rounds have been loaded with those Lee powder scoops. Follow their charts. Update as necessary.
I like a decent reloading beam type scale. I have an old Ohaus, but use a newer RCBS. Just wish the dang thing was cast iron instead of the...
I think by now it's clear that just about any press and any manufacturer of dies will do what you want to do. You can spend little, or a lot.
If I was to spend more on any one item, it would be a good dial caliper. I prefer dial to digital. Batteries are not always going dead in a dial. A...
Before loading up a bunch. I would load one dummy, perhaps a cylinder full, to check for length. You want to make sure those larger bullets will actually chamber. My .45 Colt New Vaquero had different depth chambers and would not accept Keith style wad cutters in all of them. That Hornady...
I've been shooting my M77 with hard cast lead 190-250gr and getting 1400-1500fps, using "The Load". Makes for a lot of fun practice without being a bit sore.
The style of writing in some older reloading manuals is a bit entertaining. I recently picked up a Accurate Smokeless Powder Reloading Guide Number One (1994). Just a few pages in reminded me of why I like books.
I reload .380 ACP on a Dillon XL650. Berry's Bullets just to keep problems to a minimum. Shoot a lot of cast lead normally. I have a really sweet Browning BDA. Would be a crime not to shoot it.
I had inconsistent sized chambers in my .45 New Vaquero Birdshead. A round would fit in some chambers and not others. Why Ruger cannot seem to bore all the holes the same depth surprises me. I sent it to DougGuy and he fixed it up. Seems to shoot well now.
