They might have just reblued it because the finish got scuffed up a little during the repair process? It does happen, and they surely can't return it to a customer with even a small amount of cosmetic damage that wasn't present when they received it. 🤔

As you mentioned, plenty of those out there, so I'd shoot and enjoy it regardless of whether it'd been refinished or not. As far as anything rare or collectible, I wouldn't send any such thing back to Ruger anymore, as they're more concerned with checking a box for their legal department than...

Yes, I'd say one built from 100% aftermarket parts can still be referred to as a 10/22...Just not a Ruger 10/22. All of mine remain probably around 50-85% Ruger made parts.

Permethrin is NOT safe for use around felines. Before I knew this, I sprayed our dogs bed with it, then a short time later, and after hanging out with the dog on said bed, one of our cats became violently ill, then extremely lethargic. We had to make an emergency visit to the Vet...Who diagnosed...

Unfortunately, I don't possess the Super Human abilities the Clampetts obviously had...But, at least this keeps me in shape for the Fall bird hunting seasons.
