    Missing magnum cylinder.

I needed a .357 Magnum cylinder for a .357/9mm Blackhawk. I bought one off E-bay after a communication regarding the dimensions, especially the length. It fit and most importantly, timed perfectly. Check your cylinder and find a used one as close as possible to the same dimensions. If it is...

Ruger no.3 rebarrel as revolver companion options.

I would go with .460 S&W for the #1 along with a .45 Colt Blackhawk. The #1 in .460 will take any .45 Colt load but, if a heavier load yet is desired, could handle .454 Casul as well as the .460.

    9mm carbine.

New Ruger PC-9 carbines have an adapter for use with Glock magazines. Glock magazines are all I use in my PC-9. No problems.

    #1 in 460 S&W

I had a S&W 460 XVR 8 3/8" barrel. Brutal recoil. Fearsome muzzleblast and noise. I liked it a lot ! Until, that is, arthritis in my wrist and shooting hand told me, loudly, no more !

    Squib

Years ago I saw a squib in a Ruger Super Blackhawk. Factory Remington .44 Magnum 240 grain lead loads. Slug was 1/2 way up the barrel, cartridge case looked nearly virgin. No powder charge. One in a million, but it does happen. Nobody hurt, we pushed the bullet back out of the barrel with a...

    Contender Octagon Barrels

Kittery Trading Post in Kittery Maine use to be a reliable source for used Contender and Encore barrels. I bought an octagon .357 Contender barrel with one of the old Bushnell Phanton scopes for about ? $ 275 3 or 4 years ago. Virtually nothing there last year when I stopped in. Progress ? I guess.

Not to stir up a hornet's nest, but....

The first 1911 I owned was a basic Springfield Armory GI model. It never functioned reliably and ended up going away. Second was a Colt stainless steel Series 80 Commander. Shot great, and was reliable, I had the trigger reworked and it was even better. My son has that one now and loves it...

    Contender Octagon Barrels

DEFINITELY WAY, WAY OVERPRICED !!! Yikes ! If really mint, I might, maybe go $ 275. Probably not even that high though.

    Contender Octagon Barrels

9mm, whether octagon(preferred) or 10" bull is on my want list, if I ever find one at a halfway reasonable price, or maybe even a bit unreasonable ? Cheap to shoot, at least compared to anything except .22 LR. No reloading required, unless really, really wanted. I had a .22 LR 10" bull barrel...

    Need 10/22 help

Pull it out of the stock, remove the trigger guard assembly and the remove the buffer or pin and then the bolt assembly. Clean thoroughly, lube and reassemble. Should be good.

    Continuing mk 4 problems

From what I have heard, if you return a gun with aftermarket parts installed Ruger will remove them and install factory parts as part of the repair process. Also, your aftermarket parts won't be returned. Never done it so I can't vouch for the truth of it.

I saw an ad for a 5.7 Charger

I saw an AR 180 in operation at a machine gun shoot once ! It made me want one SOOOO bad ! Way, way cool ! Opportunity and finances have never come together for me that way though.

    357 Maximum

.357 Maximum was chambered by Thompson Center in their Contenders. I had a 10" bull barrel which was a nice shooter. UNTIL the gun locked up solid. I never shoot maximum loads in handloads ! I had to disassemble it to remove the barrel and fired empty. The frame went back to T-C and I got a...

"Shooting the Most Powerful Revolver on Earth – Smith & Wesson 460 XVR"

Here is my grandson, 26 at that time, shooting a S & W .460 XVR 8 3/8" barrel last summer.

    Lawrence Holster. Still looking

Lawrence used the 100 as the model. Earlier holsters had more numbers and letters, depending on options. As listed in a 1969 edition of Shooters Bible, 601 was the size for a Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 7 1/2" barrel. BTW, neither the holster or the Bisley is for sale. The letters on the...
