What firearm have you owned the longest?

The firearm I've owned the longest is a 12ga single shot H&R that I bought for $15.00 from a classmate when I was in high school.

    224 Valkyrie ???

It was all the rage a few years ago but has lost popularity. I built one on an AR lower receiver because I like to play with unusual cartridges. It turned out to be accurate although I usually don't keep numbers and that is a gestalt estimate. I don't have a chrono so can't say it reaches...

    What dies you recommend

I've been reloading 32/20 with lee dies since the 1990's but all for revolvers. They have been good for that purpose and the lee crimp dies are outstanding.

    RCBS Summit Press ?

I have one. It is a solid super strong stable press. you described the action correctly. It will load tall rounds easily. RCBS also sells a short actuating handle which is adequate for operations short of sizing large cases. It does go for less than a rock chucker but it is not as low as a...

    And, a word about hats...............

The story they used to tell when I was a kid was that when men wore helmets under arms it was considered polite to remove the headgear as a sign of respect when entering a friend's house. For others, the old echo of the CSM dressing down someone in the mess for having his cover can still be...

Question about Army veteran who stopped the nightclub attack

Great Quote by TR. Thank You. During OIF the Army (or the USO) distributed several inspirational pamphlets to troops in the combat zone. This speech was one of them. Have a framed copy in my study. There are lots of reasons why officers leave the military before 20 years sometimes with...

    ULTRA-RARE S4 SINGLE-SIX

thanks, a trip down memory lane. I had one of these with the star and single cylinder purchased new in Orangeburg SC in either 1975 or 76. It was my first handgun purchase. I was so focused on the gun that when I also bought a hunter holster, I bought a right hander and had to swap it out for...

Differences In Primer Fit Ginex vs Federal

I loaded 100 41 long Colt rounds last week using Ginex small pistol primers. Used a lee ram prime on a press because the hand priming tool I usually use did not grip the case tight enough. With this set up I had no problems correctly seating the Ginex primers with this set up.

    Is the .41 Mag dead?

30 years ago I picked up a long barrel BH in 41 mag at an LGS. enjoyed it and sold it after getting a Red Hawk in 41. Missed the BH so much I now have 2 one with a long barrel and one in 4-5/8 in . I kept the RH. Try not to make the same mistake twice.
