The 32 H&R magnum offers adequate penetration for a defense round with reasonable recoil. The 32 S&W Long wadcutters also offer decent penetration and recoil is quite mild. Lucky Gunner recently did a video on the 32 caliber cartridges.
I wish I had pictures for this one.
A customer purchased a reproduction Remington cap and ball revolver on a Friday. On Monday he returned with the same revolver - missing the top strap and top three chambers. He wanted a refund. He claimed it had just exploded. The gunsmith pulled one of the...
The Holster Store lists two IWB holsters in Kydex.

I have never done business with this outfit, so I can't speak to the quality - but they have the holsters listed.
The LCR 9mm kicks really hard. I had one and sold it after about 100 rounds. I even put the large grips on it and it was still painful. I think the SP101 would be a better choice in 9mm. The LCR is great in 38.
I think you are on the right track. It sounds like the trigger spring is almost fully compressed when the hammer approaches the fully cocked position. This would explain the extra heavy trigger pulls.
I would first first try replacing the trigger spring with the original and see what happens.
My current favorite is the 38+P LCR. I also like the LCRX 38 in both barrel lengths.
I like the 38, 22, and 327 versions. The 3" 22 is a fun revolver. I am evaluating a 327 LCR for carry with 32 H&R magnum ammo.
True, but the appeal of the Vaquero is the look and feel. It looks like the old western revolvers carried by the cowboy heroes of my youth. It handles better than my Fanner Fifty too. That is why I like them.
I'm also pleased that it doesn't cost as much as the real thing and has a safer action...
I started with a Lee Loader 38 Special kit. I loaded 500 rounds over the course of a week. That Saturday, my brother and I shot them up. When I next looked at the pile of brass and the Lee Loader, I went out and bought a press, loading block, dies, powder measure and scale.
You don't have to get...
I have a little experience with both the SP101 4.2" and the LCRX 3". I have both and like both. Either is a good choice.
I find the LCRX to be harder to shoot because of the light weight of the gun compared to the weight of the trigger even though I like the trigger on it better than the SP101...
The actions are totally different. The Redhawk has an action similar to the old Security Six series of revolvers and it has a conventional grip frame. The GP100 is more like the Super Redhawk.
Why is the Redhawk more expensive? The GP100 could be less work to assemble. But that is just a guess.
