So aside from the fact that they're there, what exactly is the problem with these locks? Do they have an effect on how the gun operates? I have one on a single six, and I've never really worried too much about it.

I've got one of these I got back in the 80s along with a long gone Super Blackhawk. Fits my 22/45 Mk IV well, and could easily accommodate a longer barreled version. Maybe not too easy to find these days though. Lyon and Coulson H34. :)...

Just checked, and my 22/45 Mk IV doesn't even have one of the bumpers. There's a hole for it, but nothing there. What exactly is the bumper's purpose?

My 22/45 heavy won't reliably feed MiniMag JHPs. The nose gets hung up on the bottom of the feed ramp. I could feel a small lip there, and working on smoothing that down has helped, but still not 100%. When I have time I'll either work on it some more or run it by a gunsmith, but for the time...
