    Lyman #55 powder measure

What always amazes me is the THE cheapest powder measure, the Lee Perfect Powder Measure (~$20), is the best (imo) for all types of powders; ball, flake, and extruded. Amazing, but true.

Reloading non-cannelure .38 special bullets taper crimp?

As Terry mentioned; Lyman, Redding, RCBS, and also Lee, all make a taper crimp die for the 38special. I have both Lee's factory crimp die(roll) and Lee's taper crimp die for 38 special.

    Casting for .45 Colt

For the best accuracy, all the throats in a cylinder should be the same. Strangely, in the 7 Ruger 45 colts that I have; (9 cylinders, two 45 acp) this was not the case. I found several different sizes in each cylinder. So... I reamed the throats of all my Ruger 45s to 0.4525" including the acp...

    Casting for .45 Colt

Ruger 45colts are more likely to have factory throats in the 0.4495 area. TOO small.

    unburned powder

I use 800X in many heavy bullet for caliber loads; with good results. I do keep load density high, however.
