Excellent advice, Contender. Do you know what powder the shooter was using that had mishap?

Ruger customer service said send it in. All they have is spring and detent ball.

I am looking for safety lever for my Mark II. The detent plunger is loose and came out while cleaning. I found it. And pistol is working. Just looking for an extra.

I don’t mean lighter bullets. I mean lighter powder charges.

I use same load on both .44 M and .45 C. AA#9 , 2400. 20 grains, or so, for both.

You Do Not want H110 in lighter loads. That works best in stiffer loads. And Mag primers. My only squib round was with H110 and standard CCI prime.

What is the red convertible? Early- mid 1960’s ?

Why were they scrapped?

I use and like the Lee factory crimp on straight wall brass. .357, .41,.44,.45.

I load .25-20 and do not have this problem.

Chamfer the opening well. Inside to help bullet to start.

IMR 4227. I use this powder in my .25-20. Same brass. Another one is 2400.

Brownells states 11° optimum for cast bullets and 18° for jacketed. Anyone here know about the 18° cut?

Simichrome is an excellent polish. German made. I used it in Tool and Die when a high polish was called for.

Ruger may replace it. They have with me. Even paid shipping both ways.
