    P-85 spring tension question.

I read where the factory re-coil spring tension on the Ruger P-85 is 11 lbs but Wolf springs have them down to 8 lbs. My question is what determines what tension spring one would use in this pistol? It seems to me the slide is quite hard to pull at 11 lbs. Would putting a weaker spring, say 8...

    P-90 slide spring tension.

Folks I have a S & W 4506-1 piostol in 45ACP. I'm retired and 76 years old. My hand strength has deminished somewhat since I retired to the point it is difficult for me to rack the slide on the 4506. It has a 14 lb. spring as equipted from the factory. I want your opinion. Do you think if it...

    Is it OK?

Someone tell me if it is OK to shoot the 38 Special cartridge in this revolver: Can't seem to find any information on it one way or the other... Would like my Granddaughter to carry this gun but a 357 is a bit too much for her. Ruger Model SP101,357 mag. 2 1/4 inch barrel. Thanks, djh

My new Single Six and simulated stag grip panels.

Boy am I disapointed in Midway. Been waiting all this time for those hand grip panels to get in on backorder and now instead of a backorder date of 11-10-2012 they have changed it to 01-11-2013. Man O man. Guess I will cancel that order and go with the simulated stag grips at Western and...

My new Single Six and simulated stag grip panels.

I like the look of the Stags but boy have they gone up in price since I put them on these 1977 models. The top one is a New Model Blackhawk in 357 caliber mfg. April 1977. The botton one is a New Model Single Six in 22 caliber mfg. Sept. 1977. djh

My new Single Six and simulated stag grip panels.

Those plastic grip panels are just to thin to fit and be confortable in my hand. Just ordered a set of wood grips from Midway. They look good and have real good reviews. They are on back-order until the 10th. Look forward to getting them. They say they are thicker. By the way I just noticed...

My new Single Six and simulated stag grip panels.

Yesterday I got me a new Single Six. I like the gun but in my opinion Ruger really messed up when they went to those plastic grip panels. I hate um and can't wait to get them changed out. Other then those panels it's a nice little gun. I have ordered a new set of simulated stag grip panels for...
