Had the exact same problem on my bird’s head. Sent it to Ruger and they fixed it right up (including replacing cylinder). My 5.5 they replaced outright; the pin jumped with recoil, and the loading gate didn’t line up.

I was sorting through 9mm brass and the Freedom Munitions (FM) brass has a slight ledge inside. Much further down and much narrower than that awful Maxxtech stuff. I haven’t tried to process it yet, but does anybody have experience with it? Thanks.
