    PCC For Home Defence

That's why I got a PCC instead of an AR in .556. If I lived on 5 acres in rural southern California worrying about drug mules at 200 yards I'd get an AR but PCC is fine for anything I'll ever have to handle in a neighborhood with .2 ac lots.

Ruger PCC 9mm problem getting trigger assembly seated - solved

I'm a noob. The trigger assembly is learnable but in the meantime there are 3 to 5 items that will fall out/go flying across the room.

Ruger PCC 9mm problem getting trigger assembly seated - solved

It's a hefty, tight gun. The operation and accuracy has been flawless but there are a number of parts in that lower receiver waiting to send you to the internet for an hour of research. I won't even breathe on the trigger assembly.

Ruger PCC 9mm problem getting trigger assembly seated - solved

Bumping this thread. Changing out the OEM with the M*Carbo replacement buffer and steel retention ring did the trick. Per the photos at the top, that wear showing up in the OEM buffer and retainer was just enough to keep the bolt assembly from seating so that the trigger assembly would align in...

Ruger PCC 9mm problem getting trigger assembly seated - solved

I have gotten help from this forum before so I wanted to post a PSA. I had disassembled the lower receiver components and could not get the trigger assembly to fully seat. After a lot of tinkering and internet research, I realized the worn buffer plate would not seat and the distorted hole and...

    Ruger PCC re-assembly issue

It really was a simple problem, per my reply above. You were correct--this was really the only thing that could be wrong. There is no way for that barrel block to be misaligned etc. Apparently there's a very narrow tolerance with that barrel spacer that has to be adjusted with that adjustment...

    Ruger PCC re-assembly issue

Yes. I removed the trigger and bolt assemblies. The good news is the design is pretty idiot-proof and you really can't put things back incorrectly. This is kind of what happened. After taking the barrel assembly apart the diagnosis was "this gun needs broken in."

    Ruger PCC re-assembly issue

Thank you very much for all the replies. I took it to a gunsmith and it really was stupidly simple. This gun is brand new and everything is extremely tight. We had to use a punch on the adjustment ring to loosen it and move the barrel spacer so the barrel assembly would seat in the block. As the...

    Ruger PCC re-assembly issue

Yes to all that. It feels like the issue is in the barrel block. The barrel won't turn to where it needs in the block so everything just "clicks" together. I've stripped the gun several times and this is the first time this has happened.

    Ruger PCC re-assembly issue

The adustment ring seems frozen. The barrel will seat completely, I just can't get it to rotate to proper alignment. It also seems to be engaging the bolt somehow.

    Ruger PCC re-assembly issue

I seem to have made a very fundamental mistake when re-assembling my PCC after field stripping and cleaning. The lower receiver is back together and everything is snug and seems to operate fine, but I cannot get the barrel assembly to re-attach to the receiver. Worse, the chamber and barrel seem...
