Be careful with moose in the spring.

Anchorage...Elmendorf AFB family housing: Folks learned to stay away and just watch. The moose loved munching on the green grass that was growing in early spring due to the underground steam lines.

mia_scoutguy said: Where and how much. Sorry but the where is long lost in the mists of time, however, the how much is recorded in my records as $165 plus shipping two ways from the West coast to somewhere in the USofA. Given how long ago it was done, I suspect the cost will have increased...

You must have the mate of mine...also bought in 1978 (181-027XX). Early on, I met a guy who convinced me to have the barrel and receiver cryogenically treated. That, a trigger job and some shimming of the wood to metal brought me to 1 MOA with handloads.....good enough. There are a couple of...

    Ruger Service on Older Models

I have posted this before however, I have a Ruger Mk1 pistol and it was having a FTF issue. Decided since it was over 40 years old the hammer spring may need replacing. I read about how difficult it could be to replace I contacted Ruger (and was willing to pay for the service) and they had me...

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

I stand corrected (in part) on Ruger support. Their website currently does not list any parts for the P95 for sale. However, the cost of support (since it is out of warrenty) is high. There is a link on their website that says: PISTOLS SERVICE Flat Rate Pricing (includes return shipping)...

Ruger P Series pistols. How good are/were they?

I concur with the tough, durable and accurate.....downside is Ruger does not support it any longer......upside (on eBay) you can buy almost every part (used) for it for a song. I have multiple replacement parts for my P95DC including a upper slide and barrel assembly for less then $90.
