Revolvers in Semi-Auto Calibers - Why?

This here The autoloader cartridges are compact in comparison to the rimmed revolver cartridges Granted the autoloader cartridges tend to run at higher pressure, but the modern steels are fit for the challenge I have a Ruger Single Six that's been built to run the 10mm auto cartridge...

JP Sauer Hy Hunter Western Six-Shooter 22lr

A question was asked about the cylinder, I figured it would be useful to show this view, as this revolver has seen very little use at all, with no peening at the chamber mouth areas of the cylinder

Clearing some space to fund a Christmas present for myself $200. It's all there and in very nice shape, works great Notice hairline crack in the original faux antler grip panel, which has been stable for the few years that I've owned it

    .22 Bird shot??

For what it's worth I don't consider the little 22 to be "bird" shot Great on rodents and reptiles at relatively close range, but I haven't used it on birds

    .22 Bird shot??

I get far better pattern density with the tiny NAA mini revolver than anything with a long (rifled) barrel I use the CCI encapsulated shot shells in the NAA For the Fieldmaster I run the crimped shotshells

    .22 Bird shot??

I've used many hundreds of rimfire shot shells, thousands possibly Super effective in the tiny NAA mini revolver on rodents and other problems on the ranch I also have a smooth bore Remington, which works very well, giving more range than the revolver Those little shotshells are useful
