"New" Flatgate finally made it home

IMO,,, While not original,,, Vintage Stag work…😜 These work well on a Single Six, not so much on a flattop…🙄 Really anything nice, that is period correct. Congrats on a fine acquisition.

Pics added. Is this a factory old Vaquero?

There was a time when Ruger would replace the faux finish with a re-blue when the faux failed, like a lot of them did. As for the bottom warning on the barrel, as mentioned it could have been changed out at the same time as the re-do. Either way it looks nice, has period correct grips & carbon...

Well that didn’t work out like I hoped

The package is marked correct. It appears the contents of the package are wrong. Yes a S7 same/same S6, Blackhawk & Vaquero… Not New Vaquero,,,, There is a difference between Vaquero and New Vaquero. Hogue will make it right, good company and customer service.

    41 Magnum Blackhawk

I am a faithful member of the 41 Cult… OM, bought this gun because the previous owner said it was shot out & needed a new barrel, Nope it was carefully preserved with a very nice thick coating of lead… 🙄 Once cleaned out it's Shooter, and a good one. AccuSport, my sidearm during deer hunt...

    Bisley 45 LC Question

This gun has obviously had some custom work performed. 1. Grips 2. Basepin 3. I suspect the Hammer is a Power Custom, notice the thumb checking, not sure about the trigger. Picture from the GB listing. … As for the cylinder, some prefer the fluted cylinder vs the Bisley Roll Marked Cylinder...

Early 1957 RSS 22lr Price guide?

IMO,,, $400 on the low, $500 on the high. If it had the flatgate $600. All said, it's a nice looking 5 digit, Old Model Action. To me, I would rather own a well used, taken care of gun, old time bluing, some character, nice action, and history say's those 5 digit guns are great accurate...

    Finally Won One

32's tend to like each other,,, and can be very addictive. 32 H&R's 2 of the first SSM marked frames. 327FM's My only Double Action, and as you can see I have a little wiggle room for a S&W UC…🙄 ,,, Should you need or want to find it a new home.😁 ,,, it will have friends,,, REALLY.

    Finally Won One

By the looks of that picture, it appears the Lipsey's S&W Ultra Carry J Frame in 32 H&R,,, followed you home also. 😳 I’m envious, I have had my eye looking and no luck. Congratulations!!!

Congrats!!! You just missed the “SSM” marked frame (00825) the first ~800 had the “SSM”. Still a very nice gun,

    single six flat top age

With a 6 digit SN# 489960, there is no way possible for that gun to be from 56/57. I'm not sure but I think you have a LR/Magnum Convertible and your missing one or the other cylinder. A call to Ruger might tell you,,, BUT $10 to Ruger will get you a letter with the details. Single-Six...
