    Ruger P345 45 ACP

I'm pretty sure that the issue is without a magazine in place, dry firing will cause the firing pin to hit the "flag" of the magazine disconnect. Either or both parts might deform which could result in failure to fire stoppages. Regards, Greg

    Remove Staked Grip Bushing

I removed Colt factory bushings that were staked using a bushing driver bit from Brownells. I always hit the bushing with some heat on the chance there is some thread locker present. When using the driver, I clamp my frame to the work bench, apply pressure on the bit driver handle to hold the...

Speed Six 1st range outing for me

I also like the Compacs, but wanted wood; so I tried to mimic the Compacs by removing some material from a set of smooth Herrett"s Shooting Stars. Regards, Greg

    LCP2 in .22LR

My experience with the LCP II .22 mirrors yours :) I've about 300 rounds (Federal field pack and Blazer) through mine with only only one stoppage. That was a failure to fire on the last magazine during my last range trip. I believe it to be ammo related as the round had a decent hit on it...

    P345 mag question

My experience with P90 and P345 magazines mirrors stchman's "The mags are completely interchangeable". \ I only run the mags with plastic followers in my P90 because the metal follower can gouge the the P90 frame. I've not seen this happen with the plastic P345 frame, but I mostly run the...

    Upgraded my original LCP

I did this earlier in the year, but have been remiss in posting about it here. I've had my LCP for sometime. I liked it well enough to send it out for better sights and, after a second trip to the folks that installed them, I was happy with the sights. This was before Ruger came out with their...

Is this normal on a P90 slide ?

I'd say it is normal as it's there on both P345 slides I have. My guess is that it's there to prevent the slide from hanging up on the magazine. Regards, Greg

What's the deal with the outdated & useless P89 thread?

The .pdf (with photos) is here: https://the-eye.eu/public/Strategic%20Intelligence%20Network/weapons/firearms/manuals/ruger_p89_disassembly_manual.pdf

    Ruger P345 Pistol

That's it. Without a magazine in place, dry firing would result in the firing pin hitting the "flag" of the magazine disconnect. Either or both parts could deform because of this. This could result in there not being enough clearance when a magazine was in place (lifting the disconnect above the...
