    Ruger American 9mm vs security 9 9mm

The American was built as Ruger's entry for the most recent US military pistol trials. The pistol is overbuilt, as Ruger is famous for doing, and is undoubtedly a robust and reliable gun. The Security is Ruger's current value line of pistols.

    Ruger emblem backgrounds

The original emblem was designed by Sturm and was silver and red. After Sturm died in 1951, Ruger changed the emblem for all Ruger firearms to silver and black. In 1999, Ruger brought back the silver and red emblem for the 50th anniversary of the Mark series of pistols. The silver and red...

    LC9s magazines

The LC9s was probably dropped because most people who want that size pistol do not need or want adjustable/removable sights and would rather buy the less expensive EC9s with milled sights.

    Trying to understand Ruger's pistols

Ruger American and SR9 pistols have been available for $299 at CDNN for many months. I just checked the CDNN website and the prices have been bumped to $339 or $349.

    Trying to understand Ruger's pistols

The SR-series pistols came first starting in 2007. They were Ruger's striker-fired replacement for the previous P-series lines of pistols. The SR-series was apparently discontinued as a regular Ruger production line in 2018, but models have subsequently been produced for specific distributors...

    Ruger trigger safety

Google "P320 recall" and read all about how P320s would fire when dropped before SIG had a massive recall and modifications. Hammer-fired pistols like the P238 rarely have a trigger safety.

    SR9c Still Being Manufactured

The SR series pistols are no longer regular Ruger production models. They are not listed in the 2020 Ruger catalog and the only models on Ruger's website are Distributor Exclusives. A large distributor -Sports South- commissioned Ruger to make more SR pistols, but how many pistols and for how...

    lc9-9mm conversion?

There is a kit to convert the LC380 to 9mm or essentially to make an LC380 into an LC9.

Anyone else jumping on the SR series sale?

I think the lesson may be that prices are often lower on discontinued models than on new- or continuing-production models.
