I have used Flitz paste and it worked very well. I applied it to the cylinder face with a Q-tip and just rubbed it around and wiped it off. https://www.flitz.com/flitz-polish-paste/

Can all Redhawk 45s use moon clips or does the cylinder have to be cut a certain way?

According to the serial number it is a 1976 but does not have the "Made in the 200 th of American Liberty " on it.
