I just sent back a ruger red hawk to ruger the main problem was a single split case, they sent me a new gun rather than fit a good cylinder. The cylinders aren't serialized, go to the gun show and buy a cheapo. Send it back with your cylinder. Probably get new gun, that will resell easier...
