I've been wanting one of these Express rifles for years. An Express in 30-06 was a bit of a "holy grail" gun for me.
After being out bid on quite a few auctions over the years, or finding one for sale in a retail setting with an exorbitant price, I finally was able to secure one at a...
In the details it says Satin Blued. I wonder if it is the same finish as the Boddington #1's? Any idea if this is a special run? I thought #1's were gloss blue rather than satin (my 6.5 swede is gloss).
Thanks!
Totally agree that these are beautiful rifles and love that they don't have the removable muzzle break found on the standard African offerings. Nice to see Lipsey's do a run of these.
I'd be very curious about any plans they have to do additional runs of African rifles with Ruger in other...
Rodman, If you decide to sell that 30-06 express I can guarantee you that quite a few folks on this forum (myself included) would be lining up to buy it!
I've been keeping an eye on online auctions for SR1911's and I've seen a couple that had a D before the serial number, i.e. D670-xxxxx. What does this mean? I've only seen a couple with it.
Thanks!
I thought of the 338 Lapua too. I also would love to see my favorite, 6.5x55, in the VT. I mentioned neither as that would definitely be hoping for too much :D
I've wondered for awhile now if a composite stock might ever be offered on these and whether the cartridge offerings might change. The 25-06 is the lone long action cartridge of the group, so if they are already making a VT long action, why not offer the VT in 7mm mag, .300 Win Mag or .338 Win...
The video on the Ruger website that shows how to disassemble a #1 rifle says you need a 3/32 punch and two flathead screwdrivers that precisely fit the slot in the screw being removed. No mention of what size those two screwdrivers should be though. Any suggestions or recommendations of what...
They absolutely still do. I just did it a couple months ago. Here is info from their FAQ...
- Can I exchange the Ruger scope rings that I received with my new rifle for a different sized set?
If the gun was recently purchased and was purchased brand new, we will exchange the new, unused rings...
The wait is killing me. Please, please, please let this be a 77/22lr RSI. If it's not I'm going to have to break down and get a full stocked CZ 455, but I'd really prefer a Ruger!
