I would just buy the VQ sear and hammer too, and change the extractor.

If you remove the mag disconnect you need a different bushing to take up the space. Tandemkross makes one, and there are others. Then the mags will drop out and it simplifies disassembly.

I have a Burris 4X compact that fits nicely in the bag. This scope is discontinued but they show up on eBay.

I put the Volquartsen Kit in one 10/22 and the Kidd single stage kit in another. Both are an improvement but if doing another I would get the Kidd. I like the Kidd charging handle and bolt buffer better. Get the auto bolt release if you have not already.

I'm all for modifications and improvements but I'm keeping my original guide rod and spring. I don't know what problem the metal rod is supposed to solve, except that some people prefer their guns to have more metal parts.

I have one takedown and one carbine and there is no difference in how they shoot. Many scopes will not fit in the bag. The third pocket is for the scope, and you use QD rings. I guess you could just leave it assembled and get a regular Ruger 10/22 case if you wanted.

Burris 4x Compact. Discontinued model but I found one on eBay. It fits the bag just fine.

I ordered mine from Shop Ruger on May 29 and I got them this week, just in time to go to the range! In the meantime I got a couple on eBay. Some are way overpriced but if you are persistent you can get a good deal.

22LR prices on gunbroker are softening. The $75 bricks of golden bullets are not getting taken. Ten cents a round seems to be the new average price. I think that is down a couple of cents from a few months ago.
