    I could be wrong but I think many of the French police issue sp101's had a lanyard and this might be to accommodate that.

    I've heard they might exist and wondered if anyone else heard that? A 6" half lug, SS, GP100, with fixed sights. I imagine it could have been done yet would be very scarce.
