3 inch is the best snubby IMHO. I can shoot the 3 inch as well as a 4 incher.

If you have one, no need to run out and buy the other. One difference is that 45 Colt ammo is a bit difficult to find and very expensive today. If you handload, this is not as big a problem.

The HAP bullets are the XTPs without the skives. AA#7 meters nicely. It was designed for the 9mm. I have seen some gel tests where the HAP expanded with the 9mm. I would run it as fast as possible if I was hoping for expansion.

Speer makes a 1050 fps load with a 200 gr Gold Dot bullet in 44 Magnum. I use it in my 44s. They also make a 44 Special load with the same bullet. Chronos at 815 fps from a 3" barrel fro me. Will have to try the Hornady 165 gr load.

Sounds like you need a higher front sight. A good light load is a 200 gr cast RNFP with a minimum load of AA#2. That might bring it down some, but not 18 inches.

Great info. Which revolver did you use for the video? A recent box of Federal Lead 158 gr SWCHP went 905 from a 4" S&W.

loaddata.com has lots of loads for about anything. Best bang for your buck. I recently picked up the Lyman 50th and think it is great.

The Aimpoint Patrol would be my minimum for a red dot. 2MOA dot and long battery life. Well worth the price.

With the replaceable mag wells it would be nice to have some for the SMG mags like the UZI. The carbine also has replaceable bolt heads. Maybe a mag well for the Grease Gun and Thompson 45 ACP mags with a bolt head, recoil spring, and barrel? A lot of other combinations could be done...

I have the rotary model. I called Ruger and they said you can not convert the rotary to the AR mags. I just got a 10 shot magazine from Lucky Thirteen Precision and it works great in my rotary 300 Blackout model.

My wife refuses to shoot anything but a S&W K-frame. We use her 3" S&W Model 64-3 as a house gun.

I also would like the 4" better.

Six of one and half a dozen of the other. The 3.75" will be a bit better for CCW. Both would be good trail guns.
