WTB WTB Blackhawks Matching UH-60 Tail Numbers

What is this "maintenance bird" of which you speak? A Blackhawk dedicated to maintenance tasks? Or something else?

    Ill fitting grips.

Here is a set of mesquite grips Texas Grips made for one of my 1911s. As a reference, the pistol is sitting on an oak table.

    Ill fitting grips.

I think Mahogany is beautiful. However, it is very susceptible to changes in humidity. In the 1970s I had a set of speakers built into mahogany cabinets while I was in the Philippines. When I PCS'd to Denver, those cabinets warped/shrank so badly (from the dramatic reduction in humidity)...

    Ill fitting grips.

I have a friend (Henry Lance, owner of Texas Grips) make mine. Henry's currently working on a set of burled Mesquite grips for my new Browning Hi-Power .40 S&W. Mesquite is Henry's favorite wood. I've bought half a dozen (or more) sets from him. Mesquite is very hard and is impervious to...

WTB WTB Blackhawks Matching UH-60 Tail Numbers

My son - Now an Army CWO MTP/ME on Blackhawks (Alpha/Lima and Mike models). and previously a Blackhawk/Chinook hydraulics guy, has seen many Blackhawks during his 21 (so far) years. He's encountered several whose history reflects frame build/delivery dates (from Sikorsky) in the 1980s.

    Ruger vs S&W Revolvers

Contender said it well. BARTER would be the medium of exchange if TSHTF. Imagine all electronic banking systems are shut down. No more credit/debit card usage. Would paper currency be valuable? Maybe, maybe not. How many minutes (or hours) of work would it take, as barter, to purchase a...

    Ruger vs S&W Revolvers

I'm SHOCKED!!! SHOCKED I tell you, to read the strong preferences for Ruger by most of the members of this Ruger Forum. I truly thought folks joined this Forum solely to trash Ruger. FYI, I own several Smiths and several Rugers. Like all of 'em. I've had troubles with none of them. Never...

    Ruger revolver for Bear hunting?

It is difficult to find "reasonably priced" 45LC rounds. The ones that are low cost are, most often, Cowboy Load rounds.

OK to clean semi-auto barrel by immersing it in cleaning fluid?

After 46 years of marriage, I've noted that I'm stuck in grade while the wiffe continues to climb the ladder.

OK to clean semi-auto barrel by immersing it in cleaning fluid?

Amen blume357. Or the wiffe either. As I tell people, "In my house, I'm a full bird colonel. And I report to a 3-star general."

    Concealed Carry

Glad you mentioned the 1903 hammerless. My late uncle (Tom) gave me his 1903 just before he died (2012). His gun was manufactured in 1923, the same year Tom was born. Tom's father, a drag line operator constructing dams in Louisiana, bought the 1903 for personal protection on the job...

Meet the 5 Best Concealed Carry Semiautomatic Guns

I've owned a Glock 19 and Glock 20. They were OK to shoot but I had difficulty taking them down to clean. My off hand (right) is very weak (due to a mis-set double compound fractured wrist while in the military). Glock take-downs are just too awkward for me to do. S&W M&Ps are my carry guns...
