Looks like primers are up to about $150/1000 if you can find em. That takes a big bit out of the savings, but factory aint getting cheaper, either.

Get a stainless Hunter w/ 6 7/8 barrel and you will be happy. My Mark III as such is great and shoots better than me by quite a bit.

Wonder what happens to all that brass?? I boughyt from Midway about 25 yrs ago some 257 Weatherby brass that was from the Weatherby test firing. It was packaged ion 100's amnd I bought one. Told buiddy about it and he convincd me I might want more. Couple days later it was 'out of stock'.

My 77/44 shoots my reloads quite well. I did shim the bolt. Stock wants to 'lean' to the left at the small end. Maybe I should contact Ruger. Im amazed at the price increase since I bought mine in about 2016..probably increased 350 bucks.

To noahmercy poster #1-- If you make your own leather goods make a mag holster for on your belt--parallel w/ the belt, not sticking up, biting into you. I have one for a 45 mag and they are neat.. Could send you a couple photos if youd like.
