Having drunk coffee from a canteen cup, from a 5 gallon pot, I take it easy until I know that I can tolerate things. I am an old pro at drinking coffee that way. Slow and easy rules the day. Just grabbing a cup and slugging it down, like in the cowboy movies, is silly.
