If you have not been to the battlefield I really recommend you take the trip. It is worth it for sure. Standing there is a powerful thing - I can't really explain it.
You will also laugh every time a Hollywood portrayal comes on your TV from Little Bighorn because they have the location so wrong.
I know this is a Ruger forum and I've been here a long long time, but my favorite bolt action is a Browning X-bolt. They are absolutely fantastic.
As for caliber, I gave up on those arguments. Buy one without too much recoil and shoot it accurately.
Before all the nonsense with covid, CDNN sold the bare rifle for $500. I bought two of them at that time.
Now days $800 is probably pretty fair for this rifle.
By any chance is the holster for a shorter version? The 4.5 stamp on the back is different than mine, which makes me think maybe it is for a shorter 1911 than the standard 5" 1911.
I would have messaged you to ask but I couldn't figure out how!
I've been reading about this. It is absolutely crazy to go after the No. 1. Apparently the "thinking" of those in government is since it can be chambered in large calibers it is much to dangerous for the common man.
Stupid
Yesterday Ruger announced it is going to pay a special $5 a share dividend for all shareholders as of Dec. 15. Seems the company is on excellent financial ground.

I'd like to add that while on earth there is no evidence in scripture of Jesus putting any stock in His clothes. He basically called Himself homeless and said the Son of Man has no place to lay His head. Homeless folks traveling around the middle east are not well attired or groomed.
John the Baptist came to see Jesus face to face. He was wearing camel hair and looked like a homeless person. Jesus asked John to baptise Him.
Church is just a building. God is everywhere.
Someday He will clothe us in perfect white garments. Until then I see nothing in scripture that tells me...
Bob,
Thank you for sharing. I truly hope the pain from the separation you are enduring is softened by knowing she is with Chris now and that you will see her again!
