    LCR9mm and +P ammo compatibility?

I've shot +p+ , +p and standard velocity 9mm out of mine with no crimp jump issues. My normal carry load is the Rem Golden Saber 124+p. But I also like the old Fed 9BPLE +P+ load which is 115 gr. I don't use the 147 gr loads as I have heard that they are the most likely to crimp jump. Most...

    LCR 9mm

They use a different moon clip. You can find the Ruger brand ones on the Ruger website. TK Customs and 4wheelguns are two good sites for moon clips and related tools. Even Amazon carries moonclips.

    LCR 9mm

I have not experienced any issues with bullet jump in over 500 rounds fired. The ammo used was a mix of defense loads including +P+ from 115 to 147 gr, factory fmj from S&B, Rem, Fed, Winchester and some commercial reloads. I get that it is a potential problem but not one I have experienced...

    LCR 9mm

I've had one for about 6 years now. It is a great carry gun. The Ruger moon clips are fine for the range but the fingers on them get bent easy and allow rounds to fall out. I use the Speed Beez moon clips for the most part for range and carry. Amazon carries the moon clips. The hardest thing to...

    LCR9 and Plus P ammo?

The LCR 9 is built on the 357 frame. I do most of my practice with standard 9mm but occasionally shoot +p. My meat ammo in 9mm is Rem Golden Saber 124 gr+p or Federal HST 124 gr+p. It is stout shooting +p but not abusive.

    How Do You Use Moonclips?

I picked up two low profile moon clip holders that conceal very well from http://jeffreycustomleather.com/MoonClip-MagazinePouchsAccessories.html I use this for my LCR9. It works great. For range bag and ammo can use I use pill bottles of a similar diameter. It also works well for holding the...

Problem with 223 cases on Dillon 550B

Two things come to mind. 1. Do you have a case in place when setting your dies? You should because it helps with it being aligned. 2. What dies are you using? It is possible that something could be bent or off center in the manufacturing. Quality counts and some makers do not have the same level...

    Reloading the .223

I bought an aftermarket swaging tool that replaces the priming bar on the Dillon 550 and it works real well. It cuts the time by more than half compared to using the Super Swage. I found it on Ebay. I do large batches at a time as well.

    22 conversion

I have the Kimber conversion for a 5" 1911 and it works fine. Just FYI the Kimber kit is made by Ciener. (at least it was when I bought mine well over 10 years ago)

Problem with 223 cases on Dillon 550B

That was what I was thinking as well. I would double check for the proper pins and shell plate too. If the shell plate is too tight or too loose it can be hard to feel the right stop also.

    Moon clips

I've had good luck with the Speed Beez moon clips in my LCR9. Amazon carries those along with the demooning and mooning tools. For a CCW style moon clip carrier Jeffreys Custom leather makes one that is excellent.

    22 conversion

I have a Kimber conversion kit for a full size 1911, if you look close you will find that the Kimber kit is made by Ciener. Mine always worked well.

    Future GP100 offerings?

I agree that would be a great gun, especially if they can do it as a 6 shot in 4" and 6" versions.

9mm LCR and Factory Ammo Jumping Crimp

I haven't had any problems with any crimp jump with my LCR9. I've shot commercial reloads, WWB, and yesterday at the range tested 3 different carry loads with no problems. The defense loads tested were Federal 9BPLE 115 gr +p+, Rem Golden Saber 124 gr +p and Federal HST 147 gr. Good luck in...

Looking for a holster (US M-3)

A second recommendation for Pacific Canvas and Leather. I have a M3 for both rev and 1911. They carry the mag pouches as well. I'm a big guy and it will fit me without needing an extension (58" chest). You will have to search a long time to find a better price also.
