Just as a check, be sure the rear sight isn't flopping around. Has a guy show up for his CCL test and the rear sight elevation screw and springs were missing on his old Security Six.
So, how lucky would you have to be to buy a .357 Magnum cylinder in order to upgrade from .38 Spec. and have it time correctly? I have a .357 but am wondering.
I did this and put on a set of Hogue rubber grips. I lucked out with my Service Six as it's in the higher S/N range. The Ruger grips and roll pin are stuck together in case I sell.
Good Day,
I'm gonna take a different tack, I've found that spending too much time in front of a computer screen degrades my middle - distance vision. This has a large effect on my ability to see my hand gun sights.
Best,
Rob
Glad to see this, I just picked up a Service Six in SS with the 'high back'. It's been interesting learning about the different variations of the Six series.
Best,
Rob
I realize this is a bit old but I just got a Security 9 and have not had a chance to check it out yet. I have had to send an SP-101 in .22 back for some timing problems and once I sent an other revolver back back but the problem was my shooting.
Best,
Rob
My shops suppliers were sold out, I went with the Security 9. Had the SR9 before and decided I wanted one to go with the Ruger 9mm PCC. Oh well.
The thicker clips will hold the .40 S&W case back against the recoil plate for more positive ignition. The 10mm clips are thinner, the brass head spaces on the case mouth.
