    44 carbine

    A couple of things. Bill Rugers Deerstalker was a RS. I think it was pictured in Ruger and His Guns. I have seen over the last 40 years a few Fingergroove sporters with the peep. Letter it if it comes back as a 44 Sporter (Fingergroove) you got it. If it don't it still might be good somebody...
