    Ruger No 1 308 availability/desirability

Thanks. I hate to say it but I can't afford to have a bunch of guns right now. I'd LIKE to, don't get me wrong, but with us living in a small house hoping/saving to expand a little, among other reasons, I feel like I'd need to sell this to go with a bolt action I'm after. That being said, I...

    Ruger No 1 308 availability/desirability

Every once in awhile, I search gun-auction sites or the Ruger forum classifieds for a stainless Ruger No 1 in gray laminate in 308 like the one I have. I'm just curious what it's worth, although I have considered selling it in the past. The point is, I never see them it seems to me. Certainly...

In NC, it's often 'Hit the lights for me!' and... "Mash that button" "Fix supper"

Sorry I can't respond to all of you individually at the moment but as I digest this, I might come back to various posts. THanks for the feedback. Yes, I put a variety of handguns in that list meaning a variety of uses/needs/methods for carry. At first, I only had the 22s, then got the 44 and...

. Both good points about crossdraw. Hadn't thought about the seated part and that would be helpful!

    Why UNDER

I grew up in Canada but have lived in North Carolina for 24 years. Last night, for the first time I think, I said: "I'm going to fix supper". It wasn't even broken!

    Musing about Forum members,,,,,

I admit, I picture members here to be at least my age (49) or older for the most part. I don't know why.

Teach me about (open) carrying, belts, etc.

Hi all, Warning: Questions that may be considered stupid ahead. I figure the only dumb one is the one not asked. I'll take the heat. Also, the question(s) are quite open-ended and the true answers come to personal preference and experience, I imagine. But there is wisdom and experience here...

Who here makes leather cartridge holders for a No.1?

Who here makes leather cartridge holders for a No.1?

I haven't been active here in a few years but I recall a number of members here who were doing stunning leather work. Who were they? I'm remembering a gun stock wrap that held cartridge for a No.1 and also a sleeve for the foreend.
