    Powder for

I use universal, AA 5, & 2400. I mainly use cast bullets. I've also used red dot, green dot & unique with decent results, they just burn a little dirty compared to universal.

Maybe a waste of money, but maybe not

I'm 52, been riding since I was about 10. Got my license at 14 so been riding on the street nearly 40 years. Motox, Enduro, sport bikes, crusiers, I've raced & ridden all types. Still have my 79 XT500, 2016 bmw s1000r, & a Harley fatbob. I've been looking at the bmw R9T & the Ducati scrambler...

    Fire Fighting Foam

I was at a class a couple months ago. I have to have 12hrs training to keep my water, wastewater, & lab license. The instructors covers this very slightly in class. Turns out PFOS, PFAS is/was in everything. Remember lead pipes? Some of the pipe & fittings are beginning to be replaced in bigger...

Addition to my gun hobbym Update 8/9

I bought a bunch of.22 bullets from Bullshop years ago. His has a soft point and a boat tail and weigh 55-56gr. I shoot them in a 22-250 and they're 2 liter Pepsi bottle accurate at 200yds. BT sniper was selling dies but I never was that committed for 22's. I have a set of the 44 one step, to...

    Gun Show Reloading Find

I tried bullet swaging years ago with the BT sniper tool. Made 44's from spent 40 brass. It worked great but I just cast bullets now days. You got a great deal.

This is the way it is.......

Yes. His is just like that. The hammer is a little easier to reach I think.

This is the way it is.......

Just when I think I've figured them out, they change. I bought a 44spl bisley flattop adjustable sights when they 1st came out. I don't care what they call it, bishawk, bisley, flattop, etc. I just like shooting it..lol A friend of mine bought a stainless super blackhawk 44mag. I asked how he...

    Just for snickers and grins

I started at 13 on a lee load all 12ga. Set shooting aside for a few years in my early 20's ( started racing motorcycles) then started again in my late 20's. I'm 51 now and still load my own and cast bullets. Been casting for about 10-12 years. I load for...

    Hand Loads for Ruger 77/357

No experience with the bolt action but I have a sp101, gp100 and marlin 1884. All 3 shoot 125 jhp over 16.5gr of 2400 better than anything I've tried. #9, h110, blue dot... Bullet weight/length will play a part both in accuracy and complete burn. 2400 isn't the cleanest powder but isn't bad when...

    A sign that seems unnecessary

I work at a wastewater treatment plant in a small town, about 3k people. We have to test our discharge water daily, 3 times a month we pull composites and send them to an independent lab for testing. Our TSS ( total suspended solids) BOD (bio oxygen chemical demand) Ecoli, NH3, are regularly...

What Are .22LRs Selling For These Days?

In my area they're running 7 to 8 cents a shot. My local atwoods has federal 325 for 25.00 and Aguila 500 for 34.99. Sometimes they will have a sale and can get them a couple bucks cheaper.

    "Gator" farm utility vehicle.

I purchased a JD 590i in 2016 brand new from the dealer. The rear shocks started leaking before the 1st payment. They covered it with a replacement. Same type, still leaks. The instrument cluster went hay wire about the 2nd year..gas guage don't work. It shows speed and hours but not fuel...

    Ruger revolver price increase.

Yes. I just shake my head. I bought the 8 shot 327 blackhawk when it first came out...$600 and change is what I paid around 2011. I've been watching the used guns and they aren't much cheaper than a new one.
