"New" Flatgate finally made it home

The grips really, really do not fit... If they are not original, I'll find some factory ones for it. ;)

"New" Flatgate finally made it home

Some auction houses take their very own sweet time getting things shipped out. Davis Brothers in Missoula takes a month (or more). Finally had this lovely little lady delivered: 5 digit (48###), 1956. A little holster wear, but overall, very clean. I actually hope the grips are not...

    Ruger 77/22 in 22 Hornet only $10,000

Wishful thinking? Typo? If you look at the seller's other items, they have 52 items on only a single bid on any of them.

Am I the only one who likes Buck Knives?

My first knife was a fixed blade Buck. No idea what happened to it, but when I was in my 20's, out of the army, and back into fishing and hunting, I bought a Buck. Last year I found a couple of old fixed blade Bucks at auction, one even had the box. Last December, after my son and I got my...

    Fair market value

Election year jitters and scalpers trying to take advantage. Inflates the price of guns, ammo, and accessories. Not to mention what it does to emergency preparedness supplies. Only people paying those prices are the people who don't think they can afford to wait.

New Ruger Scout in 450 Bushmaster

I quite enjoy the scout scopes. I have a .44 lever carbine with one mounted as well. I could mount a standard scope on the Ruger Scout (the included rings are for that configuration), but with a 200 yd effective range, I feel the scout scope is a better option.

    New Ruger on the way!

This is the one you bought on Amazon? I bet Ruger had nothing to do with it.

New Ruger Scout in 450 Bushmaster

I’ll find out this weekend. I need to get a limbsaver for my AR, but yeah the stock pad on the scout seems like it will be much better.

    It's Bee season...

Get one!! You will not be disappointed. I have had them for years and not only do they make quick work of flies and other small bugs, but they are also a blast to play with! Effective range of about 4 feet, but better under two.

    Tandemkross 10/22 Trigger

@contender he did ask about other options. I was mostly commenting on the ease of replacing the trigger with the BX because that is all I am familiar with. Aftermarket triggers for the 10/22 change the way it shoots quite a bit. It dramatically lessens the trigger pull. Is it necessary? No...

    Tandemkross 10/22 Trigger

I swapped out for the Ruger BX trigger on my takedown backpacker and love it. I recently picked up another 10/22 that I am still trying to decide what to do with, but if I keep it "stock-like", I'll be putting in the BX or possibly a Volquartsen. My son's stock 10/22 will get the BX. Swapping...
