    Hogue Grip

Here are a couple of mine.

    Hogue Grip

Take the slide/barrel off. Be sure to remove the magazine. I have them on several Ruger handguns. I take an extra large coffee cup and put boiling water in it, then soak the grip for a few minutes (maybe 5 minutes). Then dry it with a paper towel and start pulling it onto the grip. Work it up...

    Holster

I second Simply Rugged holsters. When you go to their website, be sure to write down a discount code that pops up. If you find a holster you want, you'll have the code to save some money. Many of their IWB holsters can also be worn OWB if you remove the straps (it's easy).

    Concealed Carry

If you are unsure, it sounds like the best course of action at this point is to be sure you have a quality firearm and seek out a real training course, not rely on Billy-Joe-Bob at the range or down the street to give you some points. A real training course will teach you the proper techniques...

    Laser checkering service

These guys are NW of Columbus, Ohio in Powell. They have done laser work on several pistols of mine, and do lots of firearms (several of the guys there are retired law enforcement so like doing gun stuff). They do lots of different engraving/laser work so I would suggest calling them and tell...

    Securitysix & Grips

I ordered a Tyler T-Grip for a Speed-Six I bought a while back. Sent order and check off to the mailing PO Box on the order form from the website. December 2022. Check cashed about 10 days later, cleared the bank. Still have not received anything. No answer, no email, no response to written...

Ruger Six series/SP quality accuracy vs S&W model 15

I started carrying the Service-Six 4" on-duty in 1976. It's still a very fine revolver. A little over a year ago, I came across a stainless Speed-Six 2.5" and snatched it up as quickly as I could. I've replaced the springs in my Service-Six, and most recently bought a second hammer for the...

    Normal wear

You have a fine handgun there, shoot it. Shoot it some more. It's a solid piece. At some point the parts that rub the finish off will slow down, it's only where the parts rub.

    Security-9 Accuracy (or lack thereof)

I know every gun is different. Several years ago shortly after the Security-9 line came out, I bought the compact. On the range the first time, it failed to feed the first round from the magazine. Pulled the slide back and it chambered the second round. Fired and fed the third. Several mags...

    LCP Max Holster Suggestions

My wife and I recently both got the LCP-Max and I quickly ordered leather pocket holdters from Simply Rugged. They are excellent for pocket carry.

Max 9 with an optic mounted

I've had mine for a while, bought it shortly after they came out. I ordered the Holosun K an it arrived before I picked up the Max-9. It's been a great combo. Red dot co-witnesses with the irons perfectly. I generally carry it in a Simply Rugged OWB holster, it is even cut to fit the optic.

    Stainless Mini-30 from 1993

Years ago when the XGI advertisements stopped and the Mini-30 advertisements started, I called Ruger. I was so poor I couldn't pay attention, but I really wanted the XGI. They put me through to one of their engineers who said they couldn't get the short action to function reliably with the...

    Mark I Magazines

I noticed Midway had a few, but that was a couple years ago so I picked up two. Not sure if they sometimes get more in, I haven't checked since I purchased them. Good luck.

    When did Ruger change from

My Service-Six from the 1970s came with white, and my GP100 from a few years ago came with yellow.

    Ruger Max-9 . . . MERGED THREADS

I put an optic (Holosun 507k) on mine, I love it.
