I like mine. I bought it used and have shot it a fair amount. Mine has been ported somewhere along the line, which helps with recoil.

You guessed wrong Pictures as requested. You can see the port just aft of the front sight. It does help with recoil. A friend has a Colt Delta 10MM and I have shot it, this Ported Ruger does not recoil as much.

I bought a SR1911 10MM at the local gun shop. The pistol is ported. Was this offered by Ruger or was it added after by the previous owner?

I have for sale a pair of Herretts Grips that are marked RNSS on a factory sticker in the left grip panel. Have been told the RNSS means Ruger New Security Six. Grips are used but no abused. No screw. Asking $30.00 lus $10.00 shipping via Priority Mail. Any further questions or pictures...

I found out the answer to my question. A friend has a Colt Delta Elite and his slide will fit on the S1911 10 MM frame just fine.

I noticed that the ejector on my SR1911 10MM is 0.180 " wide and the ejectors on my Colts are 0.130 " wide. Is this because the 10MM is a bit more powerful than the .45 ACP? Are all the SR1911 ejectors the same width as the 10MM or are they the same as a Colt?
