I'm Newbee!

Just joined the Forum. I'm an 80 year young gun owner and shooter. I'm originally from San Francisco. My wife and I have been married almost 50 years. We moved to Connecticut in 1980 for job reasons and then retired in 2010. My wife and I moved to Simpsonville, SC about 14 years ago after we retired. Our daughter married her husband who is from Spartanburg, SC. We decided to live close to them after retiring. Our son moved here about 5 years ago. We have no regrets. South Carolina is a beautiful state and is much more affordable to live in than our previous locations. I've been shooting for some time and I'm thrilled that this state respects our 2nd ammendment rights.

Does anyone know of any "outdoor" shooting ranges in the Upstate of South Carolina? Greenville, Pickens or Spartanburg Counties? I typically go to our local gun range in town but I'd like to explore some outside ranges.

My nephew Mike said there is a place called Sawmill Training Complex in Laurens,SC.
and yes obviously the " The Gunshop and Range" in Simpsonville, I recall it had a red and dark, maybe black front to the building........
