That I don't know top of my head as I don't have an SSM. I just remember seeing the gun photo with the SSM displayed there at the end.I meant the ,32s that are stamped SSM.

I checked mine. It is the 650-11XXX. So it is a 1985. Just not sure of the month. I am looking at it right now as I write this !! I sure like it a lotNot an SSM, got it in 1985. 650-02XXX a very late 1964 gun.![]()
The .327s are definitely "authoritative". I call mine "snappy"!Well, I'm a bit different than many of the posters here.
I enjoy shooting the 327 mag as well as the .32 Mag. Several years ago,, in Idaho while visiting "sixshot",, several of us went on safari. The quarry was ground squirrels. Between the Hawkeye in .256 Win, and the .327,, many of those little burrowing devils fed the badgers & buzzards over a couple of days. That .327 spoke with authority too!![]()
Very nice gun. That is probably the same exact gun I would want.Got mine in 2016.
You know I started a thread not long ago about specifically the 327 asking for people's thoughts on it as I personally do not have one and have the regular blued 32 H&R......I was thinking the 327 was definitely the way to go but you know after hearing from folks who have them. They DO like them a lot, but most of them shoot the 32 Mag and 32 Longs that they reload, out of the 327. When I look at it now, I think I would be happy with another 32 Mag as a shooter and keep my 1985 model pristine ? That is how I am leaning.I'm thinking I need to buy a place holder to take a little pressure off. Maybe a Single Seven
Yeah, 1984. Fumble fingers.I guess you mean 1984 gun. The serial number starts with the 02. You got me thinking. I'm at the office working now but will check my serial # tonight. You got me wondering now.......Who knows, maybe they are close in number ??![]()
Earlier today I mentioned about the Single Six 32 H&R Mag revolver in another thread. It was a casual post, but have thought about it today. The original blued Single Six. Remember the ads back in 1984 & '85 talking about the new "Hard hitting new varmint round" amongst other advertising verbage. I, like a lot of others, saw that picture in the catalog and said " Wow, now that looks really interesting !! I always loved and still do love the Single Six in 22 rimfire, but this is now center fire in a small Single Six package !!! The 32 H&R Mag round would be perfect in the Single Six !! That's exactly what I thought then and still do think. To me, the original Blued Single Six back then with the adjustable sights was to me just magical. I think a lot of folks think the same exact thing.
