I've owned Ruger's and appreciated them for many years. And for many years I've heard folks badmouth my Ruger's.

Folks get an idea, one way or t'other, and they cannot be swayed with facts.
Yup. One of my other favorites is the Ruger American Rifle .22/250. Been catching crap about it forever. Not really about the rifle, but mag size, ammo cost, and if you can believe it- effectiveness. The last just amazes me.

It happens to be my favorite compact weapon now. In my case, the only failures I have had were because I was dumb enough to try sub-sonic ammo in it. Not enough oomph to re-cock reliably. Other than that it has been as dependable a .22 handgun as I could ask for. Love the weight and size as well. I like the .380 version as well, though because it's light the recoil is probably more than expected- but easily handled. Still a .380.
I don't know Joe I really like the size and weight . I want to like it . I only use cci mini msgs and blazer 22ammo . This next range trip I will use a heavy recoil spring see want happens . The problem is you have to hit the slide level every 2 maybe 3 shots to continue

Haven't run into that. Maybe the factory can help. Top customer service there. Also, Aguila is probably the best mfr. of rimfires out there. Might give them a try.

Fired about 200rds of MiniMags 40grns yesterday at the range. Only one issue which was caused by me not racking the slide properly. I have painted the sights. Was shooting low at 7 yards. I'll have to adjust the paint a bit. Get more range time, try it at 5 and 10 yards, remove paint as needed.

Only issue I've had is with the sight--small hard to see-thus the paint. When I first got the LCP .22 I did have some issue with ejection/feeding with some ammo. I had some bulk Federal and maybe some other brand mixed in some old cci 100 round boxes. Stingers worked great. Aquila I remember some issues. A box of Punch had a few issues as well. CCI mini mags even a ff/fe now and then. This time no issues.

Next time out I'll try some more Punch that I have and of course stick with the MiniMags.

Flyboy, if you like the gun, then that is all that matters.

Someone at a shooting range insulting a fellow gun owner just shows he himself is lousy person.
Pomposity can show up anywhere. The guy that invented body armour took out three gang members with a , 22 revolver.

Painting the sight is almost a necessity. I went with day-glo orange. Perfect.

what do you use for Ammo….

I had my three year old pistol sent back to Rugar for an inspection and they changed all the springs out and test fired it with no issues.
Sorry for the late response I didn't see it anyway I sure you got an answer but I only cci mini mags and blazer 22lr works well for me
