Passed on a tri-color flat gate today.

Well, today I wrestled with the idea of buying a tricolor flat gate single six.
I looked at it several times throughout the day, but just couldn't pull the string on the purchase.
It was in fair to almost good condition. SN is 202xxx. Early run of 3700. The vendor was initially asking $825. I approached him at the end of the show and asked for his bottom price. He said $700.
So, how bad did I screw up or did I?

I would have bought it for $700.00. In very good to excellent condition,, the RENE price guide says $1100.00. Even if in "fair to good" condition,, I'd still give $700.00 for it.

I would purchase it for that much! Especially being Tricolor Flat gate!

I made a deal with the owner of the tricolor flatgate and the blued 1955 flatgate. Pick them up in a couple of weeks.
