Just curious if anyone had any first hand info on Mark Novak and his gunsmithing. Has some pretty interesting videos on You Tube. Seems to be a year or more in back log. Never really heard of him in the various forums. Seems to mostly do older stuff. Is his abilities exceptional or are they of the variety of any capable and seasoned gunsmith ?

Sorry, never have heard of him. What are you wanting done? There are list of other more well known gunsmiths. Maybe an idea of the project you had in mind and someone could suggest a gunsmith with that expertise?
Plenty of good smiths out there, some not so much! Many good smiths will offer references. ps
Not looking for a gunsmith. Only curious about the purported skill, technique, knowledge he exhibits in his videos for educational and entertainment purposes. At first glance the projects appear to be of the more exceptional or difficult nature but since I dont really know what a capable gunsmith can be expected to do with "a vintage, historical, or complicated repair " vs " a modern type gun needing expected adjustment, servicing or the garden variety modifications".
Is his work really as top notch as your thoughts are lead to believe.
